retina barn was initially created as a response to the abandoned warehouse in run-down post-industrial area in Edinburgh.
Working with materials sourced in the warehouse and in the surrounding area I wanted to create a distinctly hand-made appearance, a work reminiscent of a temporary dwelling. A shelter however remains transparent and fragile, recalling searchlights, fake tan and malnourished birds.
