The installation uses the space to create a confined experience unit. The public is invited to walk one at a time into the room and close the door behind them.
The space is soundproof and quiet apart from the buzzing of the strip lights, the sound of which I’ve emphasised with a microphone. The strip lights are left as the only light source, while the installation mimics the ceiling lights with other broken lamps and bulbs – all wrapped up, switched off and cushioned into silence.
